Hit their lowest recorded price during the event. Predictably sold out fast. Apple products don’t discount often and AirPods Pro rarely reach these prices outside of Prime Day and November sales.

Almost never discounts. Dropped close to 50% during the event, which almost never happens with this product. A health tracker with a serious following — if you’ve been on the fence about it, that was the window. It won’t come back to that price before Black Friday at the earliest.

Listed at over 50% off, which sounds impressive. Beats discounts more aggressively and more frequently than most audio brands though, so the effective saving against a realistic regular price is softer than the headline figure suggests. Not a bad product — just not the deal it looked like.

Nearly 45% off — the biggest saving of the smart home category. Premium robot vacuum at a price that put it within reach. These discounts don’t appear often outside of the two big sale events.

A combined vacuum and mop that dropped from a high-end price to something approaching mid-range. Still expensive, but if you were going to buy one anyway, this was the right moment.

Steepest discount in years — close to 67% off. One of the cleanest Prime Day wins across all categories.

Dropped to a budget-friendly price. The most accessible smart home entry point of the event.

Kitchen

Close to 45% off. Nespresso only comes down to prices like this twice a year — Prime Day and Black Friday. If you missed it, add it to your list for November.

A frozen dessert maker with a dedicated online following. Came down roughly 23% — not a record discount. Moved in high volume because of the existing audience around it, not because the deal was exceptional. Worth buying if you wanted one anyway; not worth buying just because it was on sale.

Beauty & Personal Care

Dyson products rarely come down meaningfully. This one did. Even a moderate reduction on Dyson’s hair dryer tends to generate attention — and this was more than moderate.

50% off — a reliable Prime Day appearance for this model. If you’ve been running an old electric toothbrush into the ground, this was the moment to replace it.

The category’s surprise mover. Most people outside skincare circles won’t recognise the name — but it sold at serious volume during the event at a meaningful discount. Prime Day has a habit of surfacing things like this.

Not Worth It This Prime Day

Generic “up to X% off” tech bundles

Amazon runs these every year. “Up to 40% off electronics” as a category is meaningless — the headline discount usually applies to one item buried at the bottom. The actual discounts across the category were more modest.

Anything with a 24-hour countdown and no price history

Lightning deals create urgency. That’s their job. If you couldn’t check the price history on CamelCamelCamel before the timer ran out, the right move was to let it go. Most of them came back.

Beats headphones at “50% off”

Already covered in the tech section, but worth repeating here. Beats discounts year-round. A 50% Prime Day headline on a Beats product is not the same thing as a 50% discount on a Sony or Apple product that rarely moves.

The rule still applies. If a deal disappeared before you decided, that was fine. The good ones lasted longer than five minutes. The ones that didn’t weren’t worth the urgency.
